Corinne Stillwell violin
A four-time graduate of The Juilliard School, violinist Corinne Stillwell is the newest member of the Arianna String Quartet. Previously, she was Associate Professor at Florida State University and Concertmaster of the Tallahassee Symphony from 2007-2025. A lifelong chamber musician, Ms. Stillwell has been featured on NPR’s Performance Today and was a member of the Harrington String Quartet. She has collaborated with clarinetists Richard Stoltzman and David Shifrin, violinist Mikhail Kopelman, pianist Robert Levin, and members of the Ying, Cavani, and Pro Arte quartets. She has also performed with the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, Chamber Music Rochester, and the Amarillo Chamber Music Society. Her mentors have included members of the Juilliard, Cleveland, Amadeus, Tokyo, and Vermeer quartets, and she has recorded for Harmonia Mundi, Naxos, Navona, and MSR Classics.
Ms. Stillwell is also a dedicated pedagogue, soloist, concertmaster, and arts advocate. She has taught at Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival, Brevard Music Center, West Texas A&M University, Kinhaven, Point Counterpoint, and the Hochstein Community Music School.With performances in the U.S., Germany, Canada, Romania, Hungary, and Poland, she has been featured more than 50 times as a concerto soloist. A frequent orchestral leader, she has served as Assistant Concertmaster of the Rochester Philharmonic, Concertmaster of the Amarillo Symphony, and Guest Concertmaster of the Nanjing Philharmonic in China. She is especially passionate about community engagement and was the founding Artistic Director of Music For Food Tallahassee, a chamber music series raising food, funds, and awareness for food insecurity in Florida’s Big Bend region.
